A Cage for Two (2019)

They never had kids. The circus was their life, their environment was cages, the animals were their children. They are tough, charismatic people. Hard work, care and humanity, and open hearts made them who they were. Liudmyla Oleksiivna and Volodymyr Dmytrovych have always felt so natural in any kind of environment - in a cage, at business functions abroad, in the spacious offices and behind the curtains offstage. Ego problem that afflicted the famous never afflicted them, and Merited Artists never left their companions. For over 50 years the Shevchenkos have been everything to each other at circus arena and in life. They have been partners, friends, soul mates, lovers. They were always together and nothing could separate them except emergency room or grave. Through the prism of the creative way of the legendary trainer Shevchenko, we will show the transformation of the Ukrainian Circus, which is being reformed today.
