Nora Keyes: Luminosities (2011)

Musician, performer and visual artist Nora Keyes is an icon of the Los Angeles music and fine art scenes. First with her band Centimeters, then in Fancy Space People with frequent collaborator Don Bolles, later on in Rococo Jet and Elf Freedom-and as a solo artist throughout-Keyes has maintained a singularly focused and consistently otherworldly artistic output over the better part of three decades. From the "twisted rotting root" aesthetic of her early years, to the cosmic collage of her more current work, Nora Keyes is clearly in touch with something "from beyond." Follow Nora Keyes as she takes us to the outer limits through a dimensional portal of her own construction in this mini-documentary. Featuring commentary from the Germs' Don Bolles.
