Rebecca Anders is an Oakland, California-based artist and maker whose works of metal and mixed media sculpture, focus on fascinating elements of human society and the natural world. These works range from hand-held to forty feet tall and have been exhibited internationally. She has worked extensively with community-based organizations such as the Flaming Lotus Girls and the Flux Foundation, as a designer, organizer, and construction lead and has contributed to Burning Man for over 20 years. In this video, she describes how making helps shape our ideas, gives us voice and encourages us to see things from a different perspective. Tell us why YOU make.
