The American (2023)

This drama centred around the world of ballet follows Joy Womack, who becomes a member of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow. Her dream of becoming a grand ballerina is challenged by the fierce competition that reigns at the prestigious academy. In addition, her magnetic tutor Volkova, and her first love, challenge her determination and sacrifice. What is the cost of excellence? The film is based on a true story of the american ballerina, one of the few westerners to graduate from the Bolshoi.
