The documentary Bimi, Shu Ikaya introduces us to the matriarch and chief Bimi, of the Huni Kuin ethnic group, who became the political and spiritual leader of his Village: Secret of the Craftsman, in the Brazilian Amazon, in the State of Acre. Bimi broke taboos by exercising positions and activities considered by his people to be exclusively masculine. The film starts from the point of view of his grandchildren, the documentary filmmakers, who with great sensitivity and also immersed in metalanguage, while rambling about their longings to make cinema, immerse themselves in their own ancestry.
