El director: Las siete madres de Edipo (2020)

Camila (23) is an acting student looking for her big break in the film industry. Eduardo, who is in love with her and is also her classmate, invites her to participate in a casting of a movie, where she will meet Director Johnny Vallarta, who is about to make his most recent work and is fascinated by Camila's acting skills. The first day on call, things start to get strange and as time goes by, the incidents that have affected the filming and Camila's mental health will increase more and more. All this leads Camila to a paranoid state from which she will not be able to get out until premiere night, where she realizes that it was all an elaborate plan to please a cult of snuff movie fans. The Director is a metafiction that questions the highest authority figure in the film industry.
