The girl - a war crime victim and a teacher is stuck inside an abandoned building with a fatally injured enemy soldier. Both the battered souls want an escape by embracing death. If a gun can decide the result of the war, that gun is in her hands. She needs to choose between vengeance and suicide. If she kills him, she will become like the enemy she hates. The soldier has made the choice. He is on a mission to free himself from his physical, emotional, and moral pain. He makes every effort to make her pull the trigger. The girl needs to decide if humanity will succumb to the insanity of war. But the choice is not entirely hers. She wants freedom from the oppressor as she asserts, "you don't control my life". To which he replies, "don't I?"
