As the romance between Nigerian-American Ada Eze and Black American Trey Williams evolves into an engagement, their cultural differences are suddenly exacerbated by the arrival of the Eze matriarch, Nene from Nigeria. The Atlanta-bred Williams matriarch, Ms. Bea, is both Trey's grandmother and parent, certainly a force to be reckoned with. Wedding preparations expose the dichotomy within the Black cultural experience in America. With humor and love, Trey and Ada show how embedded stereotypical and divisive notions within the Black community can be, because nothing strikes home like a blended wedding.
