In this film, Neil, after returning from war, develops PTSD. Living with his young son Jack, with hardly any money, life is far from a walk in the park. Jack has had to grow up a lot quicker than other children his age, something that is a result of his father's disorder. As the film progresses, we see how Neil's illness affects him and people around him. The film also aims to show how taking it upon ourselves to educate ourselves and help someone suffering with a mental illness, we can contribute to making their lives slightly easier. Karishma, a worker at a charity set up to help people with PTSD refuses to give up on Neil, despite his constant refusal for help. Unlike many who would turn a blind eye to him, she doesn't, and in doing so we see how his difficult life becomes that bit more bearable.
