Dependence (2021)

As social media and dating apps become a standard in today's modern world, we found that most people use these applications as coping mechanisms to deal with their own losses. Our character Michael has found himself looking to rebound from a tragedy in his own life, grasping to the hopes of past joy in his family's cape house. While on this trip with his roommate, Michael uses a popular dating app to connect with a glimmer of hope in what can be seen as a desolate time for both Michael and his surroundings.
