Skin Like Honey and Lace

On a dark boardwalk in a forgotten seaside city, Clare and her clanmates are stealing skin. A sliver from a thigh, a strip from a chest, anything will do for the group of women as they gather in secret to peel skin from unconscious victims. They huddle in dark motel rooms, fusing the strips of flesh to their own monstrous bodies, desperate to look human. But when Clare meets Nathalie, the lonely heiress to a dilapidated boardwalk carnival, everything changes. Clare finds herself falling fast, wondering for the first time if perhaps she could have a normal life in a world she never belonged to. However when the hunt for skin turns deadly, Clare's secrets are suddenly threatened, forcing her to make an agonizing choice between the woman she loves and the only dangerous life she's ever known.
