Benjamin feels as though his best days are behind him. He's lived a solitary, career-driven life that didn't provide him any satisfaction or lasting rewards. Unexpectedly, he's been asked to look after his young grandson, Toby, after school. With no relationship between them, Ben struggles to connect with his grandson until he unsurfaces old photos of himself and Toby's father. Looking back on his life through the series of photographs, regret takes root inside of Ben as he reflects on his life and feelings of "what could have been" emerge. Ben sees his younger self in Toby, and fears Toby will make the same mistakes he did. Does this grandfather have the capacity to change his attitude on life to better himself and in turn, encourage his grandson to cherish his life? Or is Toby doomed to repeat Ben's mistakes.
