Behind the Curl (2022)

Kai's suicide was unexpected. None of her friends saw it coming. None of her friends knew the extent to which she was being burdened by racial discrimination. Yet Kai's suicide brings the friends together as they begin sharing their own stories of oppression. Behind the Curl interweaves the stories of 5 black youth who relay the misguided perceptions society imposes upon them.
