Prohibited Birds (2004)

Esperanza (Hope) is young girl, whose father, Salvador, has been kept as a political prisoner in jail. Esperanza and her mother are constantly hoping for the day they will be allowed to see Salvador. She is not allowed to give him drawings with birds nor anything related to freedom. But smart and innocent Esperanza will find a way to give her message of hope to his dad in a very unusual way.
