The Wages (2013)

"Life is about choices, nothing is incidental or accidental." KAYCEE (Gbenro Ajibade), a young impressionable graduate,sits in the kitchen, picking beans with his MOTHER (Shan George), a devout Christain, when the transformer supplying electricity to their home suddenly explodes. Kaycee rushes out to examine the damage, despite his mother's pleas to stay home and help prepare dinner. On route to the transformer Kaycee runs into ROGERS (Ikechukwu), and old friend from the neighborhood, who's moved on to bigger and better things - or so it would seem. Roger's tells Kaycee to come for a spin in his new Range Rover. Kaycee pauses momentarily, glancing back at his home and then back car. He shrugs and enters. And so the downward spiral begins.
