The goal of the documentary film 'Anxiety' is to portray the mother-child relationship that is not based on the orthodox foundations: a shared life, physical proximity and parental love. The protagonists are the inmates of the Pozega penitentiary; physically and emotionally separated from their own children, they seek to preserve the illusion of family life through phone conversations or sparse visits from the children. The film documents several months in the life of a group of bold inmate mothers, centering on their therapy meetings and everyday prison routine. Highly charged emotional relationships permeate the film 'Anxiety' in an effort to paint an intimate portrait of an extraordinary dimension of parental love.
