The Empty Headquarters Affair (2014)

Shot in the Virgin Islands and Hawaii, aboard a military transport plane, on a sunken wreck, and in lush mountain locations, this homage to 60's shows I Spy, Hawaii Five-O, and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. takes viewers on an intelligent thrill ride. When the theft of wonder drug Advantage 41 threatens to change the global balance of power, two enemies, an aging secret agent and a glamorous Hawaiian smuggler, must either grow more alike and succeed, or remain as they are and perish. A 'Making-of' closing title sequence reveals that this remarkable feature was accomplished by a team of unfunded, unpaid, time-pressured amateur film enthusiasts who overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles. This endearing celebration of creativity and daring charmingly shouts: Go for it!
