Charlie and Hugh are lovers in the 1980s who are inevitably facing HIV/AIDS in the 1980s. Fidelity captures flashback scenes of Charlie and Hugh's teen years, two boys living in the 70s; a conservative time for same sex love. Charlie views his future demise through Hugh as he evidently starts losing his battle with the disease.
