Songs About Dying (2015)

Songs About Dying is the story of a twenty-something hipster living in Toronto who does performance art of making songs out of the local obituaries. When her distant and not very well liked maternal grandfather passes away she returns home to her dysfunctional family - including her belligerent alcoholic aunt. The film focuses on five complicated and multidimensional woman at all stages of their lives, intersecting for a night to mourn the man who may be responsible for all their dysfunction.
