Ortlieb's Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting (2000)

Ortlieb's Tuesday Night Prayer Meeting is a documentary on the quintessential jazz club of Philadelphia, Ortlieb's Jazz Haus. Housed in an old brewery from the 1920's, Ortlieb's was home to some of the greatest living jazz musicians of the time including Shirey Scott, Mickey Roker, Boostie Barnes and many more. On every Tuesday night, Ortlieb's would host a open jam session, where young musicians could come and learn first hand from the greats. In the 1980's and 90's Ortlieb's was the spot in Philadelphia for real jazz.
