The American People (2016)

The documentary feature film "The American People" presents a survey of everyday American citizens giving their thoughts on a range of contemporary political and social issues. Intercutting between real Americans from all walks of life, the film assembles their responses to create a fluid, concise, and contradictory dialogue emblematic of our contemporary culture. It's the topics in question (i.e. immigration, education) that drive the documentary forward, as opposed to any conventional narrative or central figure. Just the American people speaking their minds and reflecting on what's important in today's world.
