Rose Paulson and her friends steal a hex sign from the side of an Amish barn in Lancaster, PA. When the sign is accidentally broken it releases a curse put on the town by a witch burnt at the stake in the early 1700's. When townspeople begin dying violent and mysterious deaths, including the Grandmother who raised her, Rose turns to Isaac, a teenage Amish boy for help. As the witch and her curse grow stronger, so does the attraction between the two. Together they race against time to stop the deadly spell. In the end, it is a love greater than any evil that breaks the curse and leaves everyone's lives changed forever.
