Laura (2014)

On May 12th, 2013 Pope Francisco Bergoglio entered the name Laura Montoya in the book of the saints, and Colombia gave birth to its first Saint. Although this teacher and missionary was born more than a century ago, on May 26th in Jericó, we only came to know her when she became a saint. The media covered the event and her photograph appeared on stamps, books and newspapers. Just as winning the World Cup or a Nobel prize, Colombia celebrated having a national saint.
