Avery (2016)

Avery is a short film about a girl who seeks sanctuary in the outskirts of New York City in the Rockaways, a beach neighborhood filled with colorful characters, honest conversations, and a different rhythm of life. Through various perspectives, images, and auditory cues, we learn how a new place can alter a person's state of mind, via actively listening, and how a change of pace is sometimes the most valuable gift.
