Told through the eyes of seven children drawn from diverse local and ethnic multicultural backgrounds, 'KIDS' delves into pressing issues facing Australian society. 'KIDS' takes inspiration from the classic Latin-American play 'Juegos A La Hora De La Siesta' ('Games During Naptime'), by Polish-born Argentinean playwright Roma Mahieu, a critical, subversive and highly political commentary on the Argentinean dictatorship. By turning the focus to Australia, 'KIDS' tackles ideas and themes around identity, empathy and migration, exploring Australia's attitude to immigration, and the ways in which refugees may contribute to and enrich a country's culture. 'KIDS" was selected for Melbourne Theatre Company's prestigious 2015 NEON Festival - held in partnership with Multicultural Arts Vcitoria (MAV) -as part of MTC Connect. 'KIDS' performed to a sold out audience at The Lawler Theatre in Southbank, Melbourne (Aust).
