Stand Up for Girls (2016)

A young girl is asked by her classroom teacher to write an essay on "How to change the world for girls." As she goes through her day, she encounters all the things young girls endure in school every day, from girl gossip to feeling invisible. As an athlete, the young girl is overlooked even in her basketball game. But, as she points out when she reads her essay at the end, the key is that we all must stand up for girls and their right to equality in any environment and from all those surrounding them, including other girls...and most most importantly, themselves.
