The film starts off with the Doctor sitting down outside bloodied and tired, he picks up a glass of whiskey and drinks it. As he slams the glass down on the table, it cuts to a flashback of him bringing in the Patient who is also very bloodied. It is implied that, through flashbacks, Doctor could not save the Patient and thus becomes depressed over it, finishing the flashback with the Doctor falling onto a chair passed out. Doctor gets up as he thinks he hears a noise coming from inside his house, and so he goes to check it out begrudgingly. He walks into an open doorway to find the room empty where the Patient was. He turns around to be met with the now alive Patient who stabs him in the neck. Doctor then wakes up clutching his neck, implying it was a dream. [ALTERNATIVE ENDING] Doctor wakes up clutching his neck, breathing heavily, again implying it was a dream. He goes inside his house to lie down, and as he does so, Patient can be seen at the end of the hallway flicking the lights on and off. Doctor runs up to him and hugs him, relieved that he is alive. Doctor then gives Patient a blanket comforting him, and asks how he is alive saying he saw him die, to which Patient reveals how he never died.
