Waiting for the Fall (2015)

In a small village in Syria, the impending American air attacks are the talk of the day. The villagers keep each other informed of the latest rumours as the attacks could start at any moment. At the same time there is much excitement about a major volleyball match by the local ladies' team. The civil war comes closer as one of the villagers, a war photographer, is taken prisoner by the rebels. With a mixture of slapstick satire and poignant scenes, this film captures the surreal atmosphere of life in war-torn Syria.
