After retiring from professional Major League Baseball in 2010, Eric Brynes wondered, "what's next?" Soon after he discovered long distance endurance running and went on a journey towards becoming the first mainstream athlete to attempt to complete the historic Western States 100-mile Endurance Run, from Squaw Valley to Auburn, California through the challenging terrain of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Along the way Eric teams up with the best endurance athletes he can find, including a 4x race finisher and Lance Armstrong, to help coach and assist him towards his goal of completing the grueling race.
