Manga Warrior (2017)

Gus is a comic book writer and illustrator who's struggling with his recent wife's passing. Jaded and depressed, Gus alters the dramatic story line of his money making star character, "Manga Warrior" reflecting his own mental state. Faced with a decline in comic books sales and a possible loss of a multi-million dollar movie deal, Gus' publisher and business partner gives him an ultimatum to return the comic to his original dramatic line or otherwise he'll be force to hire a new artist to do it. Dejected and confused, Gus tries unsuccessfully to create a new story line until the "Manga Warrior" character, physically materialize and confronts him with his own demons.
