This story is based on true events and inspired from a song written by Ted Egan for his mother Grace. A girl of thirteen, Grace, waved her three older brothers Jack, Bobby and Martin goodbye as they went off to war. Years later as Grace was ironing she watched the ANZAC March on TV. Her young son Ted, asked why are you crying. She replied " I always cry on Anzac Day." Drifting back in her memories Grace recalls the Sargent and his stock-man riding by their farm with a mob of horses. Jack asked what they where for? "For The Light Horseman" came the reply. Joining The Light Horsemen the three brother's bravely answered the call and were sent to Egypt, Gallipoli and London.
