Breakthrough (2018)

"Breakthrough" is an inspirational faith-based film, which tells the story of young aspiring ballet dancer, Heaven, who is destined for greatness. Her mother, Faith, is a single parent facing many challenges of her own as she supports her daughter's passion. Heaven's father, Jared, financially supports her and has now found new love and is engaged to be married for the first time. Her grandmother, Grace, is the glue that keeps the family together. Heaven's journey takes a turn for the worse when she is forced to call the police on her mother's abusive boyfriend, William, charged as a first-time offender with simple assault and a misdemeanor and placed on house arrest. Inflamed by the outcome, he becomes psychotic and seeks revenge to prove his love for Faith. Despite circumstances, Heaven must cope with the reality of her family's struggles while pursuing her dreams. As the story unfolds, Heaven is challenged by tough decisions, pushed to her potential, lead to embrace her God-planned and purposed destiny. God's grace over their lives positions Faith on her path to overcome life's adversities propelling her to 'on point' as a dancer and beloved daughter and granddaughter.
