Meatfactory (2017)

Actress Betty Bauer gives in to the pressure of the entertainment industry. She goes through several horrible plastic surgeries in order to adjust the beauty image the industry demands. With the Intention to maintain her beauty and youth eternally, she lives in a coffin wrapped up in plastic, leaving her shell only for castings, shootings, red carpet events and other appearances. Her nurse, her manager and Mephisto, the devil, are her ever present companions. It's the day of the premiere of her latest film Meatfactory and Betty Bauer goes through her casual routine on premiere days. She exits the coffin, gets checked up by her nurse, her stylist makes her look even more perfect, and her manager coaches her how to appear on the red carpet and what to state in Interviews. But today something is different: When Betty arrives at the red carpet, she suddenly sees herself among her fans. This hallucination provokes flashbacks from her horrible surgery and she faints on the red carpet. Her manager is truly worried about the image this collapse could provoke, as additionally a diversity of pills fall out of Bettys bag and spread on the red carpet. Betty recovers quickly, but instead of being helpful and understanding, her manager declares that "Meatfactory 2" is about to be filmed, starts taking advantage of Betty, and treats her like an object. Suddenly Betty's breakdown turns in to a breakthrough for her: Empowered by her vision Betty beats her manager down. With the help of Mephisto, her ever-following shadow, she injects him poison and they bring him to a scrapyard to dump his body. Betty now walks confidently into a life of liberation and freedom, but Mephisto, her shadow, is still with her.
