On the morning of April 3rd 1970, members of the IRA breakaway faction "SAOR EIRE" were alleged to have robbed the Arran Quay (Dublin) branch of the Royal Irish Bank. In the process of that robbery, and with less £3,500 in hand, they were disturbed by the arrival of two Guards, Officer Richard Fallon, and Officer Paul Firth. In the melee that resulted Officer Fallon was brutally slain, and his death marked the first in what would come to be known, in over thirty years of subsequent security service killings, as The Troubles. This 'story' with all names, places, and events changed to protect the innocent, and the guilty, is an account of what may have happened in the aftermath of that event, as members of SAOR EIRE rendezvous at what they believe is a 'safe haven' amid the turmoil and chaos of an operation gone fatally wrong.
