Theory of Ambitions (2022)

This film is an ambitious, fast-paced and technically impressive police thriller. Lui Lok joined the police force with the idea of being able to uphold justice, but seeing with his own eyes how corruption is exercised, Lui also becomes corrupt. Together with Nam Kong, who looks like a gentleman in appearance, they lay the foundations for a crime empire and become chief detectives of their organization. After a while, things between the two become strained and neither turns out to be what the other believes.
