Promoted to Glory (2016)

Terry is a young man about to be executed. He is visited by Father Tom, who brings him a letter from his father. Terry rejects the letter, and quarrels with Father Tom, believing that Father Tom has betrayed him. Later that night, Terry experiences a change of heart, and Father Tom reads the letter from Terry's father and discovers that Terry's father is satisfied with his son's impending execution. The priest and the inmate share a final bonding moment, before Terry is led off to die.
