"China's Forgotten Children" highlights the changes in the China adoption landscape and the growing number of special needs children being abandoned. Told from the perspective of a teen adoptee from China and featuring several adoption authorities, this short video focuses on China's little known "aging out" adoption policy and highlights the plight of special needs orphans waiting to be adopted by international families. In a country without a formal foster care program, the majority of abandoned children in China have no hope of being adopted domestically and are often institutionalized their entire life. In this video, viewers get a glimpse into how these children live and what must be done to find permanent loving homes for thousands of special needs orphans in China.
