"THE LIGHT," A SPECIAL GLOBAL VIDEO TRIBUTE TO MEMORIALIZE THE ORLANDO PULSE NIGHTCLUB VICTIMS Organized by Shawn Balentine, Hollywood's First Out Stuntman/Stunt Coordinator, Tribute Includes 17 Volunteer Groups of Athletes and Stunt People from 22 Countries Performing Specialties Across Scenic Vistas Orlando, FL - June 9, 2017 - Shawn Balentine, Hollywood's first Out Stuntman/Stunt Coordinator, today released "The Light, Orlando Anniversary Tribute Project," a special 9-minute video tribute to the victims of 2016's Orlando Pulse Night Club shooting. After nearly a year of preparation and filming around the world, the scenic, stunt-filled video honors the tragedy's first anniversary on June 12. Produced by Neal Baer, the video compiles photos and video clips from 17 groups of professional Stunt Performers and Athletes, all of whom volunteered their time. Each group consists of 2-3 performers, who are each paired with a victim whose background has its own unique connection to the stunt performed in his or her honor. The groups hail from 22 different countries, including the U.S., United Kingdom, Nicaragua, the Philippines, Cuba, Iran and Thailand. The stunts range from paragliding over Cape Town, South Africa and aerial silks to base-jumping off a cliff in California and forerunners in the glaciers of Alaska. "Having been the victim of discrimination and the target of hate online after coming out last year, I was deeply affected by the tragedy in Orlando," said Balentine. "So with this video project, edited by the amazing Scott Ragan and Emmy® Award-winning editor Doug Mountain, my goal here was to bring together my fellow Stunt Performers and Athletes in a global effort to let the victims' friends and families remember their loved ones with light on this one-year anniversary."
