Reasons (2017)

Reasons is a compelling short drama taking place in Savana, Georgia in the late 1950's. When a young, black, single mother, Mercy, is forced to abandon her idea of a "proper life," she struggles to escape the social norms and overcome her own internal battles. In a time and place where women had very little power or say over their own lives, her journey takes her on a path where life as she knows it will never be the same. Nor will the lives of those around her.
