The Big Fans exposes the secrets behind the Philippine reality show Pinoy Big Brother. Since it began airing in 2005, Pinoy Big Brother instantly clicked with the Filipino masses, thus forming one of the largest television fandoms in the country. Transforming ordinary people into award-winning actors and greatly attracting commercial advertisers for its television station, Pinoy Big Brother has undoubtedly become one of the largest commodities in the Philippine television landscape. The Big Fans takes a look into the lives of the fans that survived: Tonton Papa has auditioned for the show six times, while Jhun Silvestre has auditioned for the show thirteen times. Elnie Ditchon, Sarah Bautista, and Alseph Joves share a tight friendship after having only met while lining up to audition for the show. More than ten years after Pinoy Big Brother first aired, these people remain loyal. But what does it really take to be a big fan of a reality show? Who ultimately has the power-the show's producers or its fans?
