The Deus project, a practical work to complete the Cinema and Audiovisual course at the Federal University of Pelotas, consists of the production of a short documentary, which will focus on the strength of a black mother from the periphery of São Paulo and its influence Divine on the son. Accompanying Roseli's routine, his own aunt, director Vinícius Silva aims to expose the day-to-day adversities of black women from the periphery who struggle to secure their livelihoods, and especially that of their children. But not only covering the negative aspects of their experience, since life is not limited to suffering. Without interviews, it will be like observing a week of this woman and her child, depicting a repetitive and alienating cycle that is renewed every Monday. Regarding the distribution, the film will initially be enrolled in national and international film shows and festivals. It is intended to circulate, however, in non-academic environments, bringing to the local community of the exhibition questions and debates pertinent to the work. With this film it is hoped to contribute with the society giving visibility to those who are not seen; Show, and somehow say 'yes, these women, black and single mothers, are important and deserve respect.'
