Yonsei (2018)

Yonsei is a coming of age film, where a young Japanese American pre-teenager struggles with cultural identity and alienation. Newly relocated to his Grandmother's house after the passing of his Grandfather, Johnny attends a new school and quickly finds himself an outsider solely based on his esthetic in juxtaposition of his fellow classmates. Facing feelings of the perpetual foreigner, Johnny fights against adversity on a journey to discover his identity and peace of mind.
