Psychotherapist and ethnologist filmmaker Michel Meignant went to Brazil in 2015 with his partner Anne, suffering from cancer, to visit the João de Deus (John of God) medium, famous for his miraculous healings. "It is not me who healed, it is God with benevolent entities. Said João de Deus. Following revelations, the medium is tried and sentenced in 2019 for the rape of many women to 59 years in prison.
