A water polo champion, Umberto, famous for his "Eagle Strike" during the 1996 Olympic Games, ends up in a coma after receiving an elbow to the head during a match. Twenty years later he makes a miraculous recovery but cannot remember anything about his past fame. He remembers the love that he has for his family who, to him, seem suddenly aged. He also discovers that he has become a grandfather. During his difficult recovery, he is invited by his old teammates, who have all become water polo coaches and team managers, to coach a low level women team. Persuaded by his newly discovered granddaughter to coach the team, he embarks on a comical journey of sporting drama in which he has the name but very little actual talent left to achieve his goal.
