L'oro del sud (2017)

"L'Oro del Sud" can be certainly considered as a mockumentary. However it's possible to distinguish and separate two different interpretations. As a matter of fact we got Dario's point of view, one of the main characters, and we got the director's point of view. As declared at the very beginning, Dario's intention is to analyze and criticize the phenomenon of the abusive valets in Palermo. However his first superficial and bigot attitude is changed when he meets Matteo, the other main character of the short film. Thanks to him we'll be able to comprehend the phenomenon and to analyze it from a social and human prospective. From the other side we got the director's point of view, or to be honest his "absence". Like a neutral and inquiring eye, he will just intervene in the most intimate moments of the story and without any judjemnt.
