Always on Call (1955)

A policeman gets a report that an elderly woman hasn't been seen by her neighbors for some time, and goes to check on her. He finds her alone and lonely in her room, depressed and ailing but refusing to go to the hospital, saying that she has no one and that no one cares about her. The officer explains to her how the Community Chest organization can help her and how it helps people all over the city.
