We Are Not Princesses (2018)

Feminine wisdom, passed through the ages, connects a group of Syrian women with the ancient Greek heroine, Antigone, giving them a sense of strength and belonging. Through animation and intimate vérité footage, this documentary illustrates the thoughts, memories and dreams of these mothers, sisters and wives as they grapple with past traumas and express themselves openly for the first time.
