Sandman (2018)

A psychological thriller following Charlie, who is visited by his hallucination, The Sandman, who shows Charlie a dream of a better life. Charlie is forced on to medication in an attempt to remove The Sandman from his life. The grief of the passing of Charlie's lifelong hallucination causes him to be haunted by the ghost of The Sandman, who convinces him to stop the medication and swap it with painkillers. Charlie's mother becomes suspicious that he is putting himself and his health in danger. This results in The Sandman convincing Charlie she is a liability for Charlie's dream world.
