Tony, a former Olympic sprinter falls in love with his dream girl, the beautiful Angela. The day before the wedding her parents and brother arrive from Puerto Rico and Tony is shocked to discover that they each weigh over 300 lbs. On their honeymoon Angela begins an eating frenzy which leads her to put on over 150 lbs. After their relationship becomes as strained as the seams on Angela's clothes, a gypsy offers a curse to put an end to Angela's problems. As the pounds drop off Angela they are transferred to the unsuspecting Tony, who quickly loses both his studly physique and his position as a high school track coach..
