In 2017, Rape Crisis Scotland launched a campaign ostensibly to raise awareness of what they claim is the counter-intuitive way women react to being raped. The big catch phrase was "I just froze"; women are seen as powerless damsels who cannot fight back against sexual predators, often freezing out of fear, and who only "disclose" the rape months, years, sometimes decades later, when of course there is no physical evidence leaving only a classic she said/he said.
